The only downside is that the strap is extremely fiddly, I have never seen a leather strap with a metal loop over clasp to secure it, i.e. what you get with metal straps.
I hated the feature and went straight down and had it taken off with a plain leather strap put on, much better and far more secure as the old one kept flipping up when I pulled under the strap, not what you expect from an expensive watch.
